Abstract:
This study focused on examining philosophical indices for evaluating Nigerian lecturers’ intellectual dexterity in a challenging World. The rapid pace of globalization and technological advancements has posed significant challenges to Nigerian lecturers, necessitating an evaluation of their intellectual dexterity. This study examined the philosophical indices for evaluating Nigerian lecturers’ intellectual dexterity in a challenging world. The problem of the study is the perceived lack of intellectual dexterity among Nigerian lecturers, which may hinder their ability to effectively impart knowledge and contribute to national development. The purpose of this study is to identify the philosophical indices for evaluating Nigerian lecturers’ intellectual dexterity and to examine their relevance in a challenging world. The issues to be discussed in this research include the concept of intellectual dexterity, the challenges facing Nigerian lecturers, and the philosophical indices for evaluating intellectual dexterity. One philosophical analysis to be used to discuss the issues raised in this research is the concept of “Ubuntu,” which emphasized the interconnectedness of individuals and the importance of community. The findings of the study revealed that Nigerian lecturers’ intellectual dexterity is influenced by factors such as lack of resources, inadequate training, and poor working conditions. Based on the findings, the researchers recommended that Nigerian Universities should prioritize the provision of resources and training for lecturers, and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Conclusion:
This study has explored the philosophical indices that underlie the evaluation of Nigerian lecturers’ intellectual dexterity in a challenging world. Through the lens of Ubuntu, we have gained a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between individual and collective factors that shape the intellectual dexterity of Nigerian lecturers. Our findings suggest that intellectual dexterity is not solely an individual attribute, but a collective resource that is nurtured and sustained by the community.
