Abstract

This study examines the framework to be adopted when implementing the utilization and accessibility of artificial intelligence in English Language Education in Nigeria Tertiary Education. This study is guided by qualitative research design. The design adopted the use of content analysis as the major research instrument. This study made use of search engines like Google Scholar, Google Advanced Search, and Research Gate as the means of secondary data sources. Literature review explored related online books and other academic blogs. Literature review unloads the discourse related to artificial intelligence that is ideal for Nigeria Tertiary Education learning. The study further identifies the suitability of the different artificial intelligence for use in Nigeria Tertiary Education. The secondary research objectives include “to identify opportunities that are presented by artificial intelligence in Nigeria Tertiary Education, to establish challenges that are faced when applying artificial intelligence as a teaching and learning tool in Nigeria Tertiary Education, and establishing methods of implementing artificial intelligence in Nigeria Tertiary Education at the most cost-effective and efficient manner. The time of search was limited to twelve months. The academic research journals are classified into different study areas which are in line with the research objectives. The study results widened the scope and understanding of artificial intelligence that were used. The study outlined the needs analysis for both the teachers and the learners in Nigeria Tertiary Education. Results of the study identified the research gaps and contributed to the body of literature in the course of the identification of artificial intelligence that are utilized and accessible in Nigeria Tertiary Education.
